These “unauthorized” changes are not about right or wrong, they are about transparency!

Industrial added into General Plan – Adding this was not on any meeting agenda, never voted on by Council to include: (from Sept 4th, 2025 version)

The General Plan Draft is indicating the Super Fund Site to be zoned industrial which was not voted on by Council to include or General Plan Steering Committee decisions. See Below – and was not in the 2009 Plan – Who made these changes?

The EPA has issued a Reuse Assessment / Study for the superfund site and allowing industrial uses could cause contamination depending on level of remediation. The reuse study should be part of the General Plan. Might/Should get approval/recommendation from EPA.

Density Incentives were added back in –

The General Plan Steering Committee edited out the “Density Caveat” from the General Plan on January 30, 2024.

It was added back in at some point without discussion – Who did this?

Incentives are things like a developer getting 4 houses out of land that is zoned for 2 if they donate a park.
