Here’s what the editor knows –
Dan Field, the current Town Manager, Fired Beth Evans, the Town Clerk. Beth has worked for the town since 2017, she has kept the town together and running as the town went through the chaos of 9 town managers including the 1st firing by Town Council, of the current Town Manger Field.
Editor’s Opinion – The Town could not have survived without the stability she provided. She should have been given an award, not fired.
Was there a process or evaluation before termination for Beth that Field himself argued for when he was fired the 1st time, at the beginning of this year?
No official reason for the firing has been publicly issued, that the editor knows of, by either the Town Council or Town Manger Field. The Editor is searching for the letter sent to council by Field about Beth to post to this site. – **Update, See Letter Below With Town Manager Field’s Claims.
Also, at the Town Council Meeting, 10-7-2025, Manger Field announced all signs would be taken down.
