Candidate Statement:

My name is Angela Blackinton.  I am a registered republican and AZ native having lived in large and small communities from Phoenix to Flagstaff. I currently live with my husband on my 5 acre lot in the Blue Hills raising livestock, running our own business, trying to grow our own food, and helping to raise our grandchildren in the best possible environment.  My daughter has grown up in the 4-H and boyscout scene here in DH and PV so we have been involved with our community in many community service projects and intend to stay involved as we raise our grandsons.

I am a christian, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, educator, career woman of 30 years in the medical field, land owner, animal lover and do it yourselfer!  In my every day life I am required to use critical thinking skills and common sense that I feel would benefit our community and the council on many levels.  

I am running for town council as a way to be more involved, to help grow our community in the most positive way possible, and give back to our amazing town.  I know how to listen, have an objective view, fight for what is right, and demand that we do better because I know we can.  

Voting for Angela Blackinton is a vote for positive, focused, dedicated cooperation.  While I realize you can’t make everyone happy in this world and never will, you CAN listen to the majority, see the needs to be taken care of, and create the BEST possible outcome for everyone.  I will not get hung up on the tisk for tat but stay focused on the big picture and I will always have your back.
