Candidate Statement From Jason Chisholm for Town Council:
I love my country, this great state, and the town I serve. As an Arizona native, I have watched the growth and development alongside my father and grandfather. Both men, a credit to their native Arizona. My grandfather served his nation and retired as Master Sergeant in our United States Air Force. My father dedicated his life to residential and economic development in the Dewey-Humboldt and surrounding areas. Beginning from a young age, my father instilled in me values which carried me through childhood and through a military career of my own. I am proud of my roots, the town that I call home, and the country that I serve to this day.
After medically retiring from the army in 2014, I returned home with my wife and three children, to offer support to my family, and their local business. After the passing of both great men in my life, I became passionate to ensure the values and way of life in this town continued for our family and for everyone who calls Dewey-Humboldt home.
I believe in families first, and the support this town offers its families. I am in opposition of HOA model regulations. It is my vision that Dewey-Humboldt remains “low density” and continues to provide quaint country living and I helped achieve that with the 2026 General Plan. It is imperative to protect our right to maintain livestock and cultivate our crops to provide for our families and community. I also feel we owe it to the citizens of this town to create and enforce ordinances that protect private property rights. I support to limit commercialization of our land, and control the growth of our population, which ensures a healthy stable economy for our community. With water as a major concern I voice my interest in the quad city water conservation. After years of talking the EPA has finally started the cleanup process and I have fiscally supported their efforts since on the council and will continue to do so.
On July 21st I hope to garner everyone’s vote!
